Greenwich

Greenwich, CT, often referred to as "The Gateway" to New England, is a remarkable town located on the border of New York and Connecticut, just a short 45-minute drive from Manhattan. As the most sought-after area in Fairfield County, Greenwich offers five distinct and picturesque New England neighborhoods with a touch of European charm: Greenwich, Riverside, Cos Cob, Old Greenwich, Glenville, and Byram.

One of the standout features of Greenwich is its 32 miles of breathtaking shoreline, providing residents with access to the beauty of Long Island Sound. The town also boasts over 4,000 acres of parkland, offering ample opportunities for outdoor recreation. With more than 150 miles of horseback riding trails, nature enthusiasts can explore the town's scenic landscapes in a unique way.

Greenwich takes pride in its four beaches, two of which are located on islands accessible via Greenwich Town ferry services during the summer season. Among them is Greenwich Point Beach Park, affectionately known as Tod's Point. This 147.3-acre nature's paradise features a private beach exclusively for Greenwich residents. From May to October 31st, beach park passes are required for access, while non-residents can purchase day passes along with parking passes. However, from November through March, entrance to the beach park is free for all.

It's worth noting that Greenwich Point Beach Park has a rich history, as it was once the estate of J. Kennedy Tod, and many of the historic buildings from that era still stand within the park, adding to its charm and character.
